Switzerland based WinGD celebrates the successful FAT of its 6X52 engine with integrated SCR

The latest collaborative project between WinGD & CSPI, both CSSC Power Group Companies,  featuring the first fully integrated SCR system completed the successful Factory Acceptance Test on July 3rd at CSSC-CSE`s Dalian Base in China. Classification societies ABS and DNV were witness to the test.  

The six cylinder two-stroke engine provides a maximum continuous output of 11640KW and meets IMO Tier Ⅲ emission standards all within a compact, sophisticated, integrated HP-SCR design. This first engine of this configuration will be installed in a 50,000-ton tanker built by CSSC Chengxi Shipyard for the Japanese owner Kumiai Senpaku.

The new integrated SCR system on the WinGD  6X52 low-speed marine diesel engine, features green-technology and environmentally sustainable NOx control. Compared with the traditional off-engine SCR configuration, the new integrated SCR system is much more compact as it is included in the exhaust manifold. Advanced and optimized design features enable the compact size and allow for cost efficient manufacturing.   

The X52 with integrated SCR also offers additional customer advantages such as simplified on-board installation, low heat dissipation, easy operation including switching between IMO Tier II and IMO Tier III mode, and WinGD’s latest autonomous automation and control system with monitoring and predictive service features.
