X62-S2.0

X62-S2.0

WinGD has introduced the new X62-S2.0 short stroke that is ideal for vessels with a shallow draught, small propeller diameter or low main deck height.

Thanks to the new design the engine is the optimum choice for several vessel segments such as bulk carriers, container feeders, RORO and CONRO vessels, multipurpose cargo vessels and vehicle carriers.

The X62-S2.0 engine has a cylinder bore diameter of 620 mm and a piston stroke of 2,245 mm, with a maximum continuous power of 2,685kW/cylinder at 108 rpm. The engine will be available with five to eight cylinders configuration being able to cover a power range of 7,325-21,480 kW at 82-108 rpm.
The X62-S2.0 will be equipped with the high pressure and low pressure SCR, whereas the iSCR (integrated Selective Catalytic Reduction) can be added as an option to be fully compliant with IMO Tier III NOx emissions requirement and to simplifying engine installation for shipyard and therefore lowering CAPEX. The X62-S2.0 is DF-ready as standard, it can be easily converted to dual-fuel, as no major structural components need to be modified.
