X-DF HP provides ultra-large container ships an optimised propulsion solution to help navigate the energy transition.
Container vessels use substantial power both to maintain schedule and fulfil large hotel and reefer loads. X-DF-HP caters specifically to the evolving scale and power demands of the large-bore container market, delivering unbeatable power density within a reduced footprint to meet the power demand on ULCVs.
Our long-standing experience with X82 and X92-B engines informs us that our high-pressure, large bore engines deliver greater fuel efficiency, reliability and CAPEX than competitive designs, outperforming them on greenhouse gas emissions.
Availability
The new X-DF-HP will be available in 82 and 92 bore sizes, with first deliveries expected in 2028.
