X62DF-S2.0

X62DF-S2.0

WinGD has introduced the new X62DF-S2.0 short stroke engine that is ideal for vessels with a shallow draught, small propeller diameter or low main deck height.

Thanks to the new design the engine is the optimum choice for several vessel segments such as container feeders, RORO and CONRO vessels, multipurpose cargo vessels and vehicle carriers

The X62DF-S2.0 engine has a cylinder bore diameter of 620 mm and a piston stroke of 2,245 mm, with a maximum continuous power of 2110kW/cylinder at 108 rpm. The engine will be available with five to seven cylinders configuration being able to cover a power range of 6,675-14,770 kW at 82-108 rpm.
Further optimising the standard X-DF portfolio, WinGD now offers X-DF2.0 technology providing reductions to both fuel consumption and methane slip in gas mode. iCER – the Intelligent Control by Exhaust Recycling system, is the first application of X-DF2.0.
VCR (Variable Compression Ratio) is also available as an option, providing individually optimised compression ratio settings for both gas and diesel mode - delivering reduced fuel consumption, lower emissions, and enhanced performance, while providing adaptability for future fuel engines. VCR has no impact on engine footprint or installation requirements. For more information, visit this page.
The X62DF-S2.0 fulfils Tier III emission requirements without the need of an Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system when operating in gas mode.
